Moving day is over. The process of making the new place a home has began. Today was my first day at work after moving and I walked to work from my new route. Being able to go to work on foot is the ultimate everyday luxury I think and it becomes even more precious when one walks under blooming bitter orange trees.
Moving casualties…. Perfumewise, nil! However a box with all remote controls is still missing in action. Let’s hope it will resurface at some point.

Good to hear that the perfumes made it intact 🙂 And good to hear that they move is smooth-going!
Oh wow, how great that you can walk to work! Enjoy!
The two words that inspire fear and loathing everywhere. MOVING DAY. Glad you and the frags survived.

I’m glad you are settling in!
How long is your walk?
10 to 13 minutes and redolent of bitter orange blossoms this time of the year
Sounds wonderful…
I also walk to work… 30 minutes… through a semi-industrial, dilapidated part of Montréal… bleagh! Anyone surprised why I just hate when I leave the house and forget to put on perfume? Luckily, I have a bottle of Encre Noire at the office (on my desk, even) that passes for an inkwell. Glad to hear your move seems to have gone well… apart from the remote controls…
The remote controls resurfaced after all, forgotten in a bag in my old place. It took several incidents of synchronized misfortune for them to be forgotten there and several more to remain undiscovered for several days even though we moved heaven and earth to find them.
Now I am struggling with my laptop that decided to crash at the same time and my internet connection that has not yet been reconnected…. At least we have spring!
